A Quiet “Season”

Winter Season 2020/2021

Leaving Sargent Beach, Texas we returned to our home in Ft. Myers on November 1 after overnight stops in Livingston, Louisiana, and Defuniak Springs and Bushnell, Florida.

The winter season here in Cypress Woods was quite different this year as all events and most activities were cancelled during the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic. We really enjoyed spending time outside in our gazebo and playing Pickle Ball with a good group of players. Occasional happy hours and dinners with friends were welcome and fun events.

As time progressed we began to look forward to our next summer adventure. When our summer 2020 Alaska trip was cancelled we elected to roll it over to summer 2021. Each time the US-Canadian border closure was extended we felt the odds of actually making that trip in 2021 diminished. Finally, in late March, we decided to move the Alaska trip to 2022 and make alternate arrangements for the upcoming summer. So, where are we going this year?

From Coast to Coast

Highlights of this trip include:

  • Hot Springs, Arkansas
  • Carlsbad and Albuquerque, New Mexico
  • Sedona, Arizona

  • Lake Tahoe area
  • Northern California Coast
  • Oregon Coast

  • Glacier, Montana
  • Black Hills, South Dakota
  • Ft. Collins and Colorado Springs, Colorado

This is an ambitious trip but we’re planning to take our time and really explore the areas and visit some wineries!
