Summer 2019 Conclusion

Summer2019Trip

March 7, 2020

I’m sitting at the table in our RV here in Fort Myers, Florida wondering how to finally close out our last trip. It’s much too late to bore you with details of stops that we made over 5 months ago but I hate stories that have no conclusion. So, here is a synopsis of our final month on the road.

We traveled from the Ozarks to Tennessee where we spent some time in Memphis (Jellystone RV Resort at Horn Lake), Pigeon Forge (Anchor Down RV Resort), and Nashville (Safe Harbor RV Resort). We did very little in Memphis due to Bill being slightly under the weather. While in Pigeon Forge, we made a day trip to Cades Cove – a great, albeit crowded, drive. In Nashville, we saw Luke Bryan at the Grand Ole Opry, toured the Corvette Museum in Bowling Green, KY, and played a lot of pickle ball with friends that we had met in Angel Fire, NM.

We headed south from Nashville and arrived home on October 26th.  We finally got to see first-hand the completed improvements to our lot – pavers, lighting, and stone around the plants.

This journey took us over 6600 miles through 14 states. If that sounds like a lot, hold on because we’re planning a MUCH longer trip for 2020!! See you there!!
